Discussing Politics: How to talk about Donald Trump (and others) with kindness, patience, and confidence

Discussing Politics: The conversation doesn’t have to be ugly, even when the topic is

In this series, Dan covers the 9 principles that will help you communicate with kindness, mindfulness, confidence, and compassion.  And you’ll look like a superhero doing it.  The series was prompted by the political climate in which we find ourselves today.  Conversations can get UGLY.  This lessons are designed to help you keep your head when people all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you (thank you Rudyard Kipling for writing IF).  The principles enunciated in these videos are geared towards discussing politics, but they are universal ones that will affect everything you do and every relationship you have if you embrace them.  Please watch the video below that covers #1–THERE IS NO NEUTRALITY IN THE UNIVERSE.  We either transform our environment or are transformed by it–right down to our DNA!

Check the DANOCONNORTRAINING.COM blog over the next few days for the next video in this 9-part series.

Dan O’Connor is a keynote speaker, onsite and online trainer, Youtube guru, author, and the number #1 communication trainer in the world (google it!).  He is also keenly aware that if we don’t mindfully communicate with kindness and love (which is really strength–the opposite of weakness) we would be better off not communicating at all.  And the world would be better off as well.  Part of Dan’s mission as communicator is to help everyone develop the skills to communicate with great love and compassion, thus transforming his/her environment into a more loving and compassionate one as well.

Venues that are used for other than intended purposes quite often causes extreme stress and are totally inappropriate. Most of us for instance watching pro football do not want political interaction discussed. . We are trying to relax and not be stressed out. When this occurs many people change station. I guess we will have to agree that we have a different perspective. You reall are terrific in your presentations. Than you
